The Mulberry STEM Academy has been totally transformational for our STEM Scholars. Over the last year, young people now in Years 11 and 13 have been involved in a very unique experience, where they have taken part in many practical and hands-on projects that have enhanced and deepened their understanding of topics within STEM subjects.

Students across the Mulberry Schools Trust, have completed an exciting suite of activities that included a Python Programming qualification, taking part in a project called ‘Greenpower’, participating in a design project that involved building a real electric car from scratch, as well as competing in a race with other schools across the UK and the world.

Students also took part in inspirational careers conferences, where they met graduate employees in different engineering roles and received lots of useful advice on how they can be successful in STEM careers in the future.

Our Year 11 scholars also thoroughly enjoyed participating in the CREST Silver Award. CREST is a programme that inspires students to be scientists and engineers. Our Year 13 scholars are currently undertaking a Level 3 Extended Project Qualification (EPQ); a qualification highly regarded by universities.

We are now recruiting for the next cohort of students to join our Mulberry STEM Academy for 2022! We are excited to receive applications from Mulberry Schools Trust students in Year 10 and Year 12. Deadline for applications close on Monday 6th December 2021 and demand for places will be high. We encourage interested students to apply early to ensure the deadline is met.

This will be an amazing journey of discovery and learning, but don’t take our word for it…watch our amazing films below and decide for yourself!
